Sport
Sport plays an important part in our provision to develop well-rounded and confident individuals, ensuring they participate in a rich and balanced programme of sport.
At Kent College there is a sport for everyone led by highly qualified and specialist teachers, using our first class facilities that include two sport halls, a full-size astro for hockey, cricket and athletics, a new 25-metre indoor swimming pool, netball courts, tennis courts, a fitness suite, cross country course, trampolines and top level gymnastics facilities.
There are opportunities for the highest performing athletes and for those who simply enjoy taking part.

Students also compete in county, regional and national tournaments, and our current Under 13 hockey team are National Plate Champions.
Students can attend team trials at the start of each term with matches and training taking place on Saturdays throughout the term as well as weekdays. Additional training takes place early morning, in PE lessons and weekly Sport and Wellbeing lessons for those in a squad.
Sport & Wellbeing
Our Sport and Wellbeing programme aims to ensure all students are enthused about regular physical activity and sport. In addition to PE lessons, all students have a timetabled Sport and Wellbeing lesson each week with a broad range of activities designed to promote a balanced lifestyle with time off from academic studies.
Activities include yoga, mindfulness, a welly walk and art therapy. Additional team sport training and matches take place during these lessons for students in sport squads.
